Q&A
Q1: How do I apply for credits?
A1: Once you accumulate 18 hours of certified activity learning hours, you can apply for 1 certified credit during the announced application period of the semester (can be counted as a
department elective or free elective, with a maximum of 2 credits).
Note: Students enrolled in academic years 107-109 can count this towards department electives or free electives. Students enrolled from academic year 110 onwards can only count this
towards free electives.
Q2: When will I receive the credits?
A2: You will receive the credits in the semester you apply. Graduating students must complete the application process in the first semester of their senior year (or the preceding semester).
Q3: Can I participate in certification activities held by other departments to count towards my own department’s elective credits?
A3: Yes. If you participate in a certification activity held by another department, meet the eligibility requirements, and complete it, after accumulating 18 hours, the applied credits can count
towards your own department’s electives or free electives.
Q4: How do I participate in certification activities?
A4: Please go to the school’s “Event Registration System” and search for activities with titles including (Professional Certification), (Independent Study), or (Professional Independent Study)
to register. The activity is certified once the organizing unit or teacher approves it and imports your activity record into the My File system.
Q5: How do I check the certification activities I have already participated in?
A5: Log in to i-touch -> Academics (學業) -> Teaching Website (教學網站) -> Learning Convenience Portal (學習便利通) -> Professional Independent Study Credit Certification System
(專業自主學分認證系統).
Q6: What should I do if I have already taken “Online Professional Independent Study” courses on the C-learning platform?
A6: For courses taken through the school’s C-learning platform, please follow the hour certification method mentioned in the course introduction. After a few working days for review, the
coordinator will reply with the results and simultaneously register the hours in the Professional Independent Study Credit Certification System.
